Today over 500 past and present members of Scouting came together to celebrate the Centenary in a very special way.

They are all holders of the King's or Queen's Scout Award and they were honoured for their achievements at a reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, hosted by her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal. Amongst those present we four members of the recent Everest expeditions and several members of previous expeditions to Mt Cook and Kilimanjaro.

Callum, Carrie, Keith and Kevin were all members of small groups who had been selected by SHQ to be reviewed by Princess Anne. The Princess Royal spent to time to speak to all of these King's and Queen's Scouts individually causing her to run late for her next engagement.
