Mt Vinson

The last phase of the project is an attempt on Mount Vinson in Antarctica. This will present the largest financial and logistical challenge of all, but will be an experience of a lifetime.

At 4897m Mt Vinson is the second lowest of the 7summit peaks. What it lacks in altitude it more than makes up for in difficulty due to its location in one of the coldest, most windswept and remote places on the planet.

We now have a leader team in place and several enthusiastic mountaineers who are committed to completing the final stage of the project. As with all previous expedition all of the members are active within Scottish Scouting.
